Founder & CEO

Jarred Doss, founder and managing member of Commonplace Capital, is an astute entrepreneur with a foundation in technology and has held a variety of management roles across multiple industries. He honed his skills at Sony PlayStation, understanding the importance of using data and metrics in order to properly execute on business plans and drive results while simultaneously delivering exceptional customer experiences. Parallel to his tenure at Sony, Jarred conceived and subsequently concluded a prosperous e-commerce venture, adeptly guiding buyers through the maze of industrial equipment and intertwining them with a curated network of sellers. Concurrently, in 2017, he co-founded Black Plague Brewing, a distinguished award-winning craft beer company with multiple locations across San Diego County and an extended distribution reach to several western and southwestern states. After being introduced to the world of commercial real estate through his business ventures, Jarred pivoted his extensive management experience towards real estate investing, leveraging his diverse background and experience with raising capital, opportunity analysis, operations management, and financial planning. He  subsequently established Commonplace Capital, a firm focused on multifamily property acquisitions primarily across the vibrant landscapes of Georgia, Texas, and Florida. He currently lives in California with his wife and child, enjoying the passive income from his investments.

Recognizing her passion for operations and management, Rachel pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota. Later, she went on to earn her MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she specialized in Operational Strategy. Starting her career with Target Corporation, Rachel excelled in various roles, from supply chain management to store operations. Her ability to streamline processes and enhance efficiency caught the attention of her superiors, leading her to more significant responsibilities and projects. With her reputation established, Rachel was headhunted by a leading e-commerce company to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). She was responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day administrative and operational functions.
